Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA he started his dance career with several local theater productions, and training with several professionals in the area!  At 18 he moved  to Los Angeles, CA where he trained and worked as professional dancer and model while attending college at Cal State University Northridge, where he earned his degree in Kinesiology and Dance.  During that time he spent his days training at that world famous dance studio  Debbie Reynolds Legacy Studio (formerly Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio), where he was part of the their training program for industry professionals. As well asMillennium Dance Complex, The Edge Dance Complex, and International Dance Academy.  He worked with celebrities such as Howie Mandel ( host on America's Got Talent) , NappyTabs ( choreographers on So You Think You Can Dance), and Derrell Bullock (Beyonce') to name a few.  

After graduation J.J. took his skills across the pond where he taught masterclasses around Europe in Germany, Ireland, poland and then eventually he landed in London, UK where he was later signed with Box Artist Management (B.A.M.) talent Agency where he worked with artist like Little Mix, and Rebecca Ferguson and worked on television shows such as Britain's Got Talent and Skysports. He also worked as co-director and instructor of Studio 68's training academy, A program he helped design to train dancers looking to break into the dance industry, as while also teaching weekly classes! 

In 2014 J.J. moved back to the Bay Area where he continues to teach around the Bay Area sharing his knowledge and passion with others.
